Warframe S-Tier Companions
S-Tier is the absolute best you can expect and that is precisely why the list is highly exclusive.
The best of the best is the Smeeta Kavat which boasts level 3 charm, level 12 link health, level 7 fetch, level 11 Tek Enhance, Level 14 Link Armor, Level 16 Primed Animal Instinct, Level 9 Medi-Pet kit, and Level 9 Tek Assault.
Then you have the Panzer Vulpaphlya which has 3 Panzer Devolution, 3 Viral Quills, 7 fetches, 12 link health, 16 primed animal instinct, 14 link armor, 9 Synth Destruction, and 9 Hunter Recovery.
Another amazing Sentinel, Helios Prime is smart and detects weak points in your enemies. A 12 enhanced vitality, 7 vacuum, 9 investigator, 14 primed regen, 14 metal fiber, 16 primed animal instinct, 5 Medi-Ray, and 5 Assault Mode all help this smart Sentinel serve you exceptionally.
The final in this tier is Verglas, Nautilus’s default weapon which has 7 malignant force, 14 serration, 9 vigilante armaments, thermite rounds, 7 rime rounds, 15 split chamber, 9 vile acceleration, and 16 primed cyro rounds.
Although unique in their own way, either one of the S Tier companions and weapons can help you immensely in any frame and perform a multitude of defensive or offensive functions. Companions simply do not get better than these.
Warframe A-Tier Companions
Of course, the A-Tier is no small game. These companions are of high usability and serve a variety of purposes.
The Deconstructor Prime has level seven volcanic edge, level 14 primed Fury, level 9 gladiator rush, and much more, allowing the Helios Prime to reassemble itself into a sacrificial weapon altogether.
The Carrier Prime allows for Level 12 Enhanced Vitality, increasing health by 220%, level 16 Prime Animal Instinct, as well as much more. One of the coolest in this tier is the Adarza Kavat which grants the increased critical chance to allies as well as establishing kill zones with Tek Enhance.
Venari is also pretty awesome thanks to her protect posture and tail whip, allowing for both defense and offense simultaneously. For utter annihilation, Helstrum serves the purpose with level seven malignant force, level 7 thermite rounds, level seven rime rounds, and much more.
The Djinn combat sentinel is intimidating if that is what you want, whose best feature is a level 9 reawaken. Although there are others, one particularly important mention for this tier is Vasca Kavat which could also pass for Tier B but is in this category instead.
Its best feature is a level 3 transfusion which makes it especially useful if circumstances go dire.
Some call the Dethcube Prime the best sentinel; with vaporizer and level 5 assault mode, it is pretty formidable. Others in this tier include Sly Vulpaphlya, Sweeper Prime, Nautilus, Cryotra, Deth Machine, Cresent Vulpaphlya, and Sahasa Kubrow.
All A Tier companions are good for multi-purpose roles.
Warframe B-Tier Companions
B-Tier companions are good as long as you are very particular about what you want. General utility is really not that high, but the tasks they are meant to do, they do that just fine. The best in this tier are Helminth Charger and Nychus Moa.
The Helminth Charger is good as a strain companion, gaining 30 damage with every cyst. Nychus Moa is excellent for close quarters; impactful and a plentiful shield make it pretty useful. Then you have the Pharaoh Predasite which has an amazing loot and enemy radar.
The Oxylus is also good if you are looking to do some search-and-rescue, particularly in aquatic environments. The Medjay Predasite’s infectious bite deals some good lasting damage.
Diriga might not be the best, but is definitely the coolest in Tier B thanks to some sniper action. We also have Para Moa which has impressive link armor and link health abilities with enhancements of 110% and 165% respectively.
If you are looking for a healer then you have the Vizier Predasite and its Iartic Mycelium ability. If you are looking for something that catches the eye, then you have WRYM which is a generally usable companion with a multitude of actions; albeit not exceptionally effective, it gets the job done.
For stealthy attacks, the Huras Kubrow is highly effective with a level 5 stalk and a level 16 bite.
The B-Tier list also has standard weapons like the Vulklok, as well as more effective weapons like the Artax and Prime Laser Rifle. You still might need to do a little homework by going through the specifics of each companion on this tier to be sure of exactly what you want.
Warframe C-Tier Companions
C-Tier is, obviously, the second worse so the companions in here are also not what your first choice should be.
The worst voted among these is Taxon, which should essentially provide you some decent cover, but just a few fair shots render it absolutely useless. Raksa Kubrow might have been designed by the Orokin to be the perfect companion, but it is anything but that.
They are designed to be loyal, but just sticking around rarely helps. Deth Machine Rifle, on the other hand, is somewhat impressive to be in this tier, but apparently, the stats are exaggerated so it is not doing what it needs to be doing according to what is on paper.
The Sunika Kubrow is somewhat impressive too, but as much as it looks like it is doing what it is supposed to, that is all just for show. Vulcax, Sweeper, Stinger, and Laser Rifle are also not effective at dealing any significant damage.
Warframe D-Tier Companions
The main thing that you need to know about the companions in the D Tier is that you should NEVER, in any circumstances, use these.
The list includes Burst Laser, Multron, and Tazicor. Quite frankly, none of them do their job. Burst Laser does do what is asked and fires bursts of lasers, unsurprisingly, however that is largely just a waste of time since it fails to inflict any noticeable damage.
Multron, has a very short magazine and a significantly slow fire rate with an alarming level of noise; all bark and no bite, if you will. Tazicor, might seem flashy but has a disappointingly small magazine which makes the fire rate pointless.
In the end, though, it should essentially be about fun. But if you are like most people, it is only fun when you are winning.
