Redmi announced the release of the note 11 series which consists of the Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11s & Redmi Note 11 pro. These are three mid-range phones that feature some specs that flagship phones possess.

With the release of new phones, several questions regarding these phones usually arise.

Either out of curiosity or for someone considering getting a new phone, people always want to know what these new phones have to offer. One of the questions being asked about this new Redmi series is “Are The Redmi Note 11 Series Waterproof?”.

It’s actually important to know every necessary detail about a phone you intend to buy including the water-resistance status. We recently looked at this same topic for the new Samsung Galaxy S22, S22 Plus, and the S22 Ultra where we revealed that the S22 series were all waterproof.

For the Redmi Note 11 Series, let’s first see what these phones are made of by looking at their individual specs before looking into their water-resistance status.

The pricing of this device starts at $179 USD and it features a 6.43 inch AMOLED, 1080 x 2400p resolution display with a body ratio of 20:9, a screen-to-body of 84.5%, and a refresh rate of 90Hz. Also, It reaches a maximum screen brightness of 1000nits

It comes with an Android 11, MIUI 13 OS out of the box, Qualcomm SM6225 Snapdragon 680 octa-core CPU, and an Adreno 610 GPU.

Camera-wise, the Redmi Note 11 features a rear camera setup of 50 MP, f/1.8, 26mm wide, 8MP, f/2.2, 118Ëš ultra-wide, 2 MP, f/2.4, macro, and a 2 MP, f/2.4, depth. The rear camera of this device allows you to record 1080p videos at 30fps. It also has a 13 MP, f/2.4, wide front camera that allows you to record 1080p videos at 30fps.

For storage, it comes in storage variations of 64GB and 128GB. Also for RAM, it comes in variations of 4GB and 6GB.

Also, this device comes with a USB Type-C 2.0, a Li-Po 5000 mAh non-removable battery that features fast charging of about 33W and comes in color variations of Graphite Gray, Pearl White, and Star Blue. The pricing of the Redmi Note 11s starts at $249 USD and just like the Redmi Note 11, this device features a 6.43 inch AMOLED, 1080 x 2400p resolution display with a body ratio of 20:9, a screen to body ratio of 84.5%, and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The pricing of this device starts at $299 USD and features a 6.67 inch, Super AMOLED, 1080 x 2400 pixels, resolution display with a body ratio of 20:9, a screen to body ratio of 86. 0% and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It reaches a maximum screen brightness of 1200nits.

Also, It comes with an Android 11, MIUI 13 OS out of the box, Mediatek Helio G96 octa-core CPU, and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.

Camera-wise, just like the Note 11s, the Redmi Note 11pro features a rear camera setup of 108 MP, f/1.9, 26mm wide, 1/1.52″, 0.7µm, dual pixel PDAF, 8 MP, f/2.2, ultra-wide, 2 MP, f/2.4, macro and a 2 MP, f/2.4, depth. Just like the Redmi Note 11 and 11s, the camera of this device allows you to record 1080p videos at 30fps.

For the front camera, it has a 16 MP, f/2.4, wide front camera that allows you to record 1080p videos at 30fps.

Are The Redmi Note 11, Note 11s & Note 11 Pro Waterproof?

The answer to this question is: No! The Redmi Note 11, 11s, and 11 Pro are not waterproof. These phones do not have the IP68 rating which means they are not water-resistant and can’t withstand being submerged underwater.

Only phones with the IP68 rating offer water and dust protection. Therefore, users should try as much as possible to keep these phones away from water. But, they feature an IP53 rating which offers dust and splash resistance.

These phones are very really decent phones with decent specs and are good budget phones. They possess some specs that are usually found in some flagship phones.

If you’re considering getting one of these phones, it’s important to remember that they are not waterproof. Therefore, try as much as possible to stay away from water. However, they are still very decent budget phones and should be able to serve you well.
