Huawei announced the release of several devices at the MWC 2022 on the 28th of February.
The Huawei Matestation X and Huawei Matebook X Pro were part of the announced devices at the MCW.
The Huawei Matestation X is a monitor with a really sleek design and awesome features. It has been tagged the Apple iMac rival. The Huawei Matebook X Pro is a laptop with better and improved designs than its predecessors. It has also been tagged as an alternative to the Apple MacBook.
In this article, we’ll see if the Huawei Matestation X and the Matebook X Pro are actually worth the hype they’ve been getting since their release by looking at their respective specs. Well then, let’s get right to it!!!
Huawei Matestation X
The Huawei Matestation X is an all-in-one pc that features some really great specs. This machine packs an amazing 28.2 inch IPS LCD display screen with a 3840 x 2560p resolution, a refresh rate of 60Hz, and a 3:2 aspect ratio.
It has a screen-to-body ratio of 92% and reaches a maximum screen brightness of 500NITS. It has a wonderful display screen.
CPU wise, this desktop comes in variations of either AMD Ryzen 5 5600H Processor or AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor and the CPU has a base frequency of 3.1Ghz and a boost frequency of 4.1GHz. It also features an integrated AMD Radeon Graphics card GPU which helps with improved performance.
This monitor comes out of the box with 16GB DDR4 RAM with a clock speed of 3200MHz, and a 512GB NVMe SSD. For ports, it comes with one microphone and headset jack, two USB Type-C ports, and two USB Type-A ports.
Also, the Matestation X comes with a wireless keyboard, one mouse, and one AC power cord. The Huawei Matestation X will be selling at a price range of $2500 – $3000.
Huawei Matebook X Pro
The Huawei Matebook X Pro is a flagship laptop that packs really awesome specs. It is beautiful! This laptop comes with a 14.2 inch 3120 x 2080p LTPS LCD display screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz, an aspect ratio of 3:2, and a screen-to-body ratio of 92%. It reaches a maximum screen brightness of 500 NITS and supports HDR.
For CPU, it features an Intel Core i7 1195G7 with a base frequency of 1.3-2.9 GHz and a boost frequency of 5 GHz. For GPU, it comes with an Intel Iris Xe Graphics G7.
RAM and storage wise, it features a 16GB LPDDR4X RAM that reaches a clock speed of 4266 MHz and features 1TB of SSD NVMe storage. It also comes with a Windows 11 operating system out the box.
For ports and connectivity, it comes with a 720p webcam, Wi-fi 6.0, Bluetooth 5.0, 4 USB Type-C ports, and an audio jack. However, It doesn’t come with an HDMI port, a USB Type-A port, a display port, and an Ethernet. The webcam is actually quite low for any flagship laptop but should still be decent.
Also, this laptop comes with 4 microphones and 6 speakers. The Huawei Matebook X Pro will be selling at a price range of $1900-$2500.
Are They Really Worth The Hype?
In this article, we have looked at the specs of these machines and from the looks of things, we can say they are actually worth the hype. Or let’s say the Matestation X, yes. But the Matebook X Pro, not so much.
The Huawei Matestation X is a great all-in-one desktop and can be said to arguably be the best all-in-one monitor that runs on windows currently. It’s not completely as great as the Apple iMac if we’re being honest but it’s really close. I guess we can say It’s worth the price
The Huawei Matebook X Pro, on the other hand, is also a very nice laptop with impressive specs but for that price, you’ll probably expect more. It’s kind of overpriced. You’d get a laptop with better performance for a cheaper price.
It still doesn’t rule out the fact that it’s a very nice laptop anyways.
One common thing about these two machines to take note of is that they are really good for work. They’ll do great at multi-tasking or handling heavy-duty tasks.
Whether you should buy either of these machines depends on your budget or what you’re looking for in a PC. Although, I wouldn’t exactly call them budget PCs to be honest. However, they’re still very good machines that should satisfy your needs or not.
Is The Huawei Matestation X Great For Gaming?
No. Not really. Well if you don’t intend to play really high demanding games and just want to play casual or low demanding games. Then you shouldn’t have a problem. But if you have the intention of playing current flagship games or need a monitor just for gaming, then this is not the PC for you. For a price range of $2500 -$3000, you’ll get some of the best gaming PCs for even lesser.
Is The Huawei Matestation X Great For Work?
Yes!!!!! This is a great desktop for all kinds of work. it’ll handle every one of your tasks efficiently without any kind of hiccups. Apart from the fact that it’ll look really elegant and great on your office desk, it’ll also perform great.
Is The Huawei Matebook X Pro Great For Gaming?
Oh No. It’s not. You do not want this as your gaming laptop. This laptop is more of a working laptop. But for gaming, not so much. If you’re a professional gamer, you shouldn’t even consider this laptop. For the same price range or even lesser, you’ll get laptops that’ll give you a way better gaming experience than this laptop in every way.
Is The Huawei Matebook X Pro Good For Work?
Yes, the Huawei Matebook X Pro is a good laptop for all kinds of work and would be able to multitask and handle heavy tasks without having any problems. However, this laptop is somewhat over-priced and you can get a laptop for work that’ll offer the same level of performance at a cheaper price. Still, it’s a great laptop for work.
